How to Draw Lelouch Lamperouge, the main character from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, often referred to as simply Code Geass. The story is set in an alternative timeline where the whole world has become split into three superpowers: the Holy Britannian Empire (the Americas/USA; also called Britannia), the Chinese Federation (Asia), and the European Union (Europe and Africa; previously known as the Euro-Universe. Also known as Europa United in Akito the Exiled).

The story takes place after the Holy Britannian Empire’s conquest on Japan on August 10, 2010 a.t.b., by means of Britannia’s newest weapon, the “Autonomous Armored Knight”, or Knightmare Frame. In turn, Britannia effectively strips Japan and its citizens of all rights and freedoms and renames the country Area 11 with its citizens referred to as Elevens(11).

Character Summary: Lelouch vi Britannia (Rurūshu vui Buritania) was the protagonist of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2. After he was exiled from his on home country and lost his right to the throne, he used the alias, Lelouch Lamperouge (Rurūshu Ranperūji) to live hidden away from his former enemies. Lulu was the Eleventh Prince of the Holy Britannian Empire and the son of the 98th Emperor of Britannia, Charles zi Britannia and third to the throne. He was also the leader of the Black Knights and the real identity of Zero.

He was chosen as the most popular male character of 2006, 2007 and 2008 at Animage magazine’s annual Anime Grand Prix. His voice actor “Jun Fukuyama” also won the “Best Actor in a Leading Role” award for his portrayal of the character at the first voice actors Awards in 2007.
