Hi everyone! Here are a few different drawings of trees I recently worked on! I hope this tutorial video helps out in some way. It's a bit of a longer video, but drawing trees like this is something I really enjoy and I wanted to share the process with you. Be sure to let me know what you think. And also let me know if you have any suggestions for future drawing videos.
Thank you so much for the amazing support! Hope you're having an awesome day. 🙂

Thanks Chris I had a wonderful afternoon following your videos and I am really pleased with the results, I love trees and I am luckily to have woodlands to hand to develop my skills from your teaching, good luck with any future videos, thanks again.

I can’t pull off how you do the bark and shading in your first tree. The base shading is easy enough, but the darker bark is tough. My bark looks more like stripes. I wish you could zoom in closer and then draw in real time. Any advice for me?

Love how realistic ur trees come out I didn't know how important shading is makes the trees come out great 👍🏼 I tried drawing them like this but they didn't come out as good as yours 🙁 but il keep trying hopefully I can get better at it 😐

The first tree gave me the chills when it was unfinished, but gave me a warm feeling when it had the leaves and the grass.. like a childhood memory.

Hi Chris! It`s interesting that most pencil and black & white drawing tutorials are made by men (or boys). I fell in love with pencil drawing when I grabbed my first pencil :)) Thanks for sharing.

I have always been weak at drawing trees, frustrating because I love them so much. I really begin to see why, now. Thank you so very much. You have a wonderful voice. I have a suggestion– as a gift for some child in your life, as a Christmas gift, record yourself reading the chapter from The Wind in the Willows called The Piper at the Gates of Dawn.Again, thank you very much for this drawing lesson. It helps such a lot.
